BATEIG PIEDRA NATURAL S.A. Description

The Royal Wedding took part in the Almudena¡¯s Cathedral in Madrid, one of the most emblematic buildings that have been covered with Bateig Stone.

Architectonically speaking we can differentiate two different types of constructions in the Almudena¡¯s Cathedral, on the one hand (http://maplered.com) the inferior part which forms the Crypt and (http://maplered.com) on the other hand (http://maplered.com) , above it, the Cathedral. This building of predominance of baroque decoration was built on the ground where originally the Arabic Walls were located. At the beginnings of the XVI century, Pope Leon X, promulgated a bull to which he assigned the construction in Madrid of a cathedral for adoring the Virgin of Almudena. Due to that, Alfonso XII promoted the construction of the Almudena¡¯s Cathedral in order to be the sepulchre for his wife. The construction of the Cathedral was retaken in 1911, using the so-called BATEIG Stone from Novelda (Alicante). This Stone (http://g603.net) is a limeStone (http://g603.net) that is classified as biocalcarenite for being formed by accumulation of fossils (foraminifers, molluscs, bryozoans, etc.) that presents a cream tone....
